We are delighted to announce that Mariam Kass Azmin of the Alice Smith School, Kuala Lumpur has won the 2025 British Society of Sports History EPQ Prize. Her project was titled "How can Belarussian folk dance be used to explore and represent the cultural traditions of Belarus?" The final piece was a choreographed dance, accompanied by a report explaining the process.
The judges praised the work for the considerable time spent on research, planning and preparation. They were also impressed that the project considered different elements of cultural and material history.
Mariam wins £200 and a year's membership of the BSSH. Congratulations.
